Dubbelyoo

While on twitter I came across some pretty dope art work by “Dubelyoo”. His Art work converse his fondness for Hip-Hop and perception of society. The paintings tell a story of an Urban culture mixed with pop culture.
 

With brush strokes putting some of the legendary rap icons on canvas such as Slick Rick, Notorious B.I.G. Look at the – flicks below. You can see his cartoonish, surreal characters.  It  kind of gives you an street art(Graffiti) feel but It’s on canvas in exhibition and without the calligraphy. The Atlanta based artist doesn’t keep himself in a box by just sticking to one medium to express himself. He also ventures out in different venues like graphic Art/Design/Music Videos/Website.
